MEO Business Development Corporation started the Maui Micro Alumni Network in January with a tremendous and vibrant talk by Barbara de Wit of Floral Designs Maui Ltd., on how she started and grew her business over the past 18 years. After her talk, the members asked her questions for more than an hour. She, like most entrepreneurs, has had her share of ups and downs as she has grown her business, and she was very willing to share those stories with the group.
A variety of professionals discussed these topics at the following monthly meetings: marketing, banking, taxes, insurance, and legal structures for businesses.

Over the first six months, all alumni were alerted by postcards regarding meetings, and a newsletter was sent out to share some of the information learned at the meetings with those who were unable to attend.

Going into the second half of the year, MEO BDC will be hosting Maui Micro Alumni Network meetings bimonthly rather than monthly.

These meetings will closely follow the graduation of each new class from our Core Four Business Planning Course.
