 LIHEAP assists low income households in meeting their home energy needs. LIHEAP is a federal program that provides energy assistance or crisis payments once a year.Maui County residents who are eligible can qualify for one of two different programs: |
- Electric or Gas Bill Payment Assistance: A one time energy credit deposited into the electric or gas accounts of a low income eligible household.
- Energy Crisis Intervention: A one time financial assistance of up to $200.00 deposited into the electric or gas accounts of a low income eligible household whose electric or gas, has been or will be shut off.
