Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
(LIHEAP)

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will be opened to the public during the month of June 2008.   It is available for low-income households having incomes and assets below 150 percent of the federal poverty level. This Program is a Federally-funded program to help eligible low income homeowners and renters meet their home heating and/or cooling needs and for energy crisis intervention.

When: June 2 thru June 30, 2008
What: One-Time credit payment to your gas or electric utility account.

Please stop by our Office at 99 Mahalani Street, Wailuku or at the MEO Offices on Molokai or Lanai to pickup a Criteria Sheet. You must have documents listed on the criteria sheet and all adults must be present when applying.

LIHEAP OFFICE HOURS at MEO:  M- F 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
            For HANA it will be on Tuesdays by appointment

NOTE: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 is a HOLIDAY – MEO's OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED.
